Hermes Silk Jacquard Scarf Daimyo - Princes Du Soleil Levant
Daimyo - Princes Du Soleil Levant, originally issued in 1991, is another stunning example of Françoise Faconnet's artistic talents that have endeared her with so many Hermès scarf collectors.
Daimyo were powerful territorial lords and therefore the Princes of the Rising Sun, i.e. Japan. Samurai swords, cranes, and the gingko leaf are all symbols of Japan. Rich in detail, this scarf is dramatic and beautiful when worn. The gingko leaf pattern of the jacquard silk adds luster and allows the scarf to drape beautifully. In rich earth tones of greens and golds against a rich chestnut brown background make this a very striking scarf.
